Back on Track - December Motivation and ChaLENE Extreme

I am really excited!! I always get this way each month when its time to start a new challenge group!  If you aren't sure what that is... then you should join!  It is a private virtual support group consisting of people who want support, motivation, recipes, accountability, friendships, and more!  Its my favorite thing to do because it works - you don't have to do this alone! Why hesitate to use a coach..look at these millionaire athletes, they make $25 million last year for hitting a ball, do you think he tells his coach, "nah, I got this."  NO!  He is always trying to improve and get better. I have a coach too!  I know that I need support, motivation, and Right now we are starting the Countdown to Christmas group. It is 25 Days of fitness!  

Up next is - New Year, New You!  starting January 5th.  Its so true.  The more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn.  Apply to be a part of it at the bottom of the page!  


Anyways, the other reason I am really excited is because I am starting a new fitness program.  Chalene Extreme AND it is 90 days!  My longest one yet!  This month is just crazy, with the holidays and traveling and parties that I know I really need to keep my nutrition and fitness in check.  This program is awesome because it literally gives you everything that you need to be successful.  This is CRYSTAL clear!

With it being Christmas time, I really want to stay on point with my diet and nutrition. I chose this program because it lays out exactly what to eat.  I always look through at what is closest to what I already eat.  Its really important to be realistic with your diet, if you see a recipe for roasted duck that is nutritious but takes 1 1/2 hours to prepare - start thinking!  Do you actually have time to prepare that!  I know that I don't. I am a busy working mom of a 1 year old. I choose a lot of chicken recipes because first of all 1) I like chicken and 2) I can grill a big batch of chicken on Sunday and then add it to various meals throughout the week  3) I need to look at meals that are easily adaptable to what my son will eat too .  My only difference is that I have to do the workouts out of order since I am teaching 3 classes a week, I don't want to burn out or do too much. I am going to drop one of the Chalene Workouts a week and replace with my Total Body Sculpt class that I teach on Wednesdays.  

Chalene Extreme comes with a huge recipe book of over 80 recipes and says - Here- Choose from these recipes in the Burn Cycle for Breakfast, Choose from these in the Lean Cycle, etc.  Its easy and honestly, they aren't overly complicated.  

One thing I like to do on Sundays is meal plan.  My week is busy, like I'm sure most of yours are too. When I am in a rush or worse, when I am starving, I go for what is right in front of me and that could be JUNK!  When I have a meal plan, I print it out and take it with me in my planner all week and keep a copy on my fridge.  Meal planning used to be really challenging to me because I didn't know what to eat or how much or what 4 oz looks like.   This makes it easy because  its normal food just gives you the appropriate amount of nutrition to build muscle, not be hungry all day and then you know exactly what to eat.
When I  started at home workouts, I started with the 21 Day Fix because it provides easy portion control containers and 30 minute workouts.  Now that I am starting another program, I remember that feeling of starting my first program.  The nervousness, excitement, the wanting of this program to "work." I can prepare, I can have the mindset, I can get pumped up about it, but the ONE thing that ALWAYS keeps me on track is support.  Do you know why that is the reason most people fail their new year fitness goals?  It is because they don't have support.  Lots of peoples spouses, family, kids, don't support YOU because they think they will have to only eat salads or the food won't be tasteful.  I am  here to tell you that there are a TON of family recipes that are EASY, taste DELICIOUS, and CHANGING YOUR DIET WILL GET YOU TO YOUR GOALS.  Through my online challenge groups I can provide you with support, help you with meal planning, provide easy recipes, daily check ins for your workouts, and be your COACH.  Here is my meal plan for the week!
